Activision ships THUG 2
The mighty Tony Hawk hits the stores worldwide.

- Activision today announced that Tony Hawk's Underground 2 (THUG 2) has shipped to retail outlets worldwide. Developed by Neversoft Entertainment, THUG 2 has been designed with the help of Tony Hawk and Bam Marger, the star of MTV's "Jackass" and "Viva La Bam". The game is available for PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube. GameBoy Advance and PC versions, developed respectively by Vicarious Visions and Beenox Studi, are also available.

THUG 2 introduces many new features, including a story mode. The game features 20 pro teammates and special guest skaters, but players can also play as themselves, thanks to the "Create-a-Skater" feature. In THUG 2 you can create also your graphics through the new "Create-a-Graphic" feature, designing your own shirts and graffiti tags. The possibility to create your own park, and share it with your friends, offers a level of customization that assure a virtually endless replay value.

The game includes many vast, interactive levels, plus a collection of the amazing levels found in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. The PlayStation 2 version has full online support: players can download content, experience new games, use the in-game messaging feature, and access the improved stat tracking and online rankings.

"Tony Hawk's Underground 2 marks another evolutionary step forward for the franchise," said Kathy Vrabeck, president, Activision Publishing. "With Bam Margera bringing his signature humor to the story mode, new and expanded player controls and customization features, highly interactive levels, dozens of characters to skate as, and an in-depth classic mode, THUGä 2 is the most complete Tony Hawk videogame to-date."
