SCEA announces five new Greatest Hits
Hot games for less - what else could you ask for?
Wednesday, September 8, 2004 - Sony Computer Entertainment of America today announced five new titles that will be added to the PlayStation 2 "Greatest Hits" line-up. The games are Jak II, Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, Rise to Honor, SOCOM II: U.S. Navy Seals, and ATV Offroad Fury 2.
Overall, the "Greatest Hits" line-up included 87 games; to qualify as a PlayStation 2's greatest hit, a game must have sold 400,000 copies.
"We are proud to deliver the most impressive, compelling gaming experience to millions of consumers around the world," said Andrew House, executive vice president, Sony Computer Entertainment America. "This holiday season, we are excited to introduce our latest 'Greatest Hits' titles, presenting users with the best entertainment experience they can imagine, all while further extending the PlayStation 2 value proposition."
SOCOM II is probably one of SCEA's greatest successes, and by far the most played console online game currently available, with 370,000 player hours per day and more than 30,000 simultaneous users logging on each day.
