Star Wars Battlefront goes gold

Friday, September 3, 2004 - LucasArts today announced that its new action game, Star Wars Battlefront, has officially gone gold on Ps2, Xbox, and PC. The game will be released on September 21st, 2004 - at the same time of the release of the Star Wars Trilogy DVD collection.
Star Wars Battlefront features open-ended single player and multiplayer modes; players will live all of the epic battles from the classic and prequel eras. While the multiplayer mode, a sort of Battlefield 1942 set in the Star Wars universe, remains the game's most interesting part, the single player modes should add replay value to the game.
