E3 2004: Metal Gear Solid 3 demo stolen
Two fans are now enjoying MGS 3 in their quiet hotel room. Until the LAPD catches hem.
Friday, May 14, 2004 - Yesterday, two unknown , described by eyewitness as 20 year old males, stole one of the discs of the Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater one-level demo playable at the E3 show. The security staff of the LA Convention Centre apparently didn't notice the two "thieves" cracking one of the the cases of the Sony Stand, thus gaining access to the Playstation 2 console. They pressed the eject button, took the disc, and run away from the show.

Many think and fear the two not so stealthy guys could be duplicating right now the stolen CD. We prefer to think of them as two big fans who just wanted to ease the pain of waiting until this fall to play Kojima's new gorgeous game.
Considering they stole the demo of one of the most important releases of the year, there are good chances the LAPD will do everything to catch them. We just hope that if the two fans are ever caught, Kojima-san will be good enough to turn a blind eye (...) to the whole thing.
