EA announces GoldenEye: Rogue Agent
Say goodbye to good' old Jimmy Bond - this time, you are the villain.

- Electronic Arts today announced GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, a new first person shooter set in the universe of the secret agent created by Ian Fleming. Anyhow, things will be completely different this time around: instead than playing as James Bond, the main hero of the game will be a bad guy, a cold-hearted villain who seeks the control of the world.

Story
Players will take the role of an ex-aspiring 00 agent dismissed from MI6 for reckless brutality and hired by no less than Auric Goldfinger, the wealthy super-villain who loves gold, in any form. Goldfinger is fighting against his archenemy, the scientist Dr. No, to gain the control of the world's most powerful criminal organization. A violent encounter with Dr. No costs the player an eye, but Goldfinger's technicians replace it with a gold-hued, synthetic eye, earning the player the name "GoldenEye". During the adventure, players will encounter legendary allies and enemies as Oddjob, Scaramanga, Xenia Onatopp, and Pussy Galore.

Gameplay
GoldenEye: Rogue Agent will feature single player, multiplayer split-screen, and online gameplay across all the many game modes. Modes will include story-driven campaign missions, deathmatch style simulator trials, and objective-based war games. Players will be able to customize and upgrade their character and rise through the ranks of a powerful criminal organization, through locations like the mountains of Switzerland, the Caribbean, Honk-Kong, and Fort Knox.

GoldenEye: Rogue Agent will be available for Playstation 2, GameCube, and Xbox later this year.
