Codemasters announces Colin McRae Rally 2005
New installment complete with online play on Playstation 2.

- Codemasters today announced that Colin McRae Rally 2005 is in development and will be released worldwide this autumn for Playstation 2 and Xbox. The game will be revealed at this year's E3 Expo (May 12-14, Los Angeles), and it will introduce for the first time in the series online rallying for up to 8 players on both consoles.

The game will feature a new Career Challenge in which players can go through over 20 different types of rally events including Challenges, Cups, SuperCups, Shields and Championships, and there will be more than 30 car models to choose from. The game will also feature improved graphics, with individual damage models for every car and attention to detail also in the scenery. The new bonnet-cam and an improved chase cam should give, according to Codemasters, a real sensation of speed and undulation.
