E3 2003: More screenshots from Konami
As promised, we now have 23 screenshots for Metal Sear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Castlevania, and also Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes! Details inside!
Friday, May 16, 2003 - We have just updated our screenshots section with new screenshots from Konami's booth at the E3.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
These screenshots are just mind-blowing. All in real-time, they show a "Snake" in the middle of a tropical jungle. Fans and Metal Gear Solid experts are not sure the character in the screenshots is actually Solid Snake; the trailer showcased at the E3, and Kojima himself, clearly hinted at the fact the game, or at least the part we saw in the trailer, might take place in the Sixties; could this mean that the man in the screenshots is the "father" of all snakes, Big Boss? We'll have more on this soon, in a special preview, but if you want you can join the discussion in our forums. Kojima also stressed the fact that the game will not take place entirely into a jungle: this is only a part of the adventure. Later in the game there could be military bases or environments more similar to previous instalments.
Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes
When Konami announced that Silicon Knights was developing a GameCube-exclusive remake of the original Metal Gear Solid, we were all surprised. In these early screenshots it's possible to notice the great character models, new lighting and particle effects, and gameplay elements coming from Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty. It's evident there is still work to do, especially on the environments and on the textures, but saying we are excited about Twin Snakes would be an understatement.
Castlevania: Lament Of Innocence
The Castlevania series is a legend in videogames, like its creator, Koji Igarashi. After the extraordinary 2D games of the series, this is Igarashi's first 3D Castlevania. It's worth noticing that the precious, refined style of the 2D games is back in full glory in this 3D instalment.
Silent Hill 3
We have added other 20 screenshots to our already rich gallery! Take a look!
