Sequel to Ratchet & Clank announced
Sony Computer Entertainment America announced Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, an exclusive for the Playstation 2.

- Sony Computer Entertainment America announced today Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, an exclusive for the Playstation 2. Insomniac Games, the same team behind the first amazing Ratchet & Clank, will develop this sequel.

"We are elated to have one of the most talented and imaginative teams, Insomniac Games, reunite the dynamic pair of Ratchet and Clank in the next installment of the series," said Ami Blaire, director, product marketing, Sony Computer Entertainment America. "Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando incorporates many of the same compelling elements that clearly differentiated the series' first game from everything else in the market last year. No doubt, this will be another genre-breaking title that will leave gamers hanging onto the edge of their seats this holiday season."

A few features were unveiled:

  • An all-new experience-based character development system
  • 20 new planets
  • In-depth storyline and new character design
  • Tons of new weapons and armors that player will be able to upgrade
  • Dynamic economic system
  • Environments include space combat, gladiatorial arenas, and spherical worlds
