Wednesday, February 12, 2003 - Sony Online Entertainment announced that EverQuest Online Adventures, exclusively for the PlayStation 2, hits retail stores in U.S. today. EverQuest Online Adventures is the first Massive Multiplayer Online RPG - offering a persistent and enormous living virtual world populated by thousands of players - available to North American Playstation 2 owners.
EverQuest Online Adventures has a suggested retail price of $49.99, which includes a 30-day free trial to the game's online world. After the first month, players will have to pay a montly subscription fee of $9.99 per person for continuing access to the game world.
There will be various ways to pay the monthly fee. Players can subscribe for additional months using a credit card, or by purchasing EverQuest Online Adventures Game Cards, a good choice for players that have no access to a credit card.
In order to play EverQuest Online Adventures players will need a Network Adaptor; the game supports both dial-up connections and broadband connections.
