Infogrames announced that the new fighting game based on Toriyama's popular anime is now available in stores.

- Infogrames today announced that it has shipped Dragon Ball Z: Budokai for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system in North America. The game was released in Europe one week ago.

The game spans from the Saiyan Saga through Cell Games and allows players to experience the confrontations that define the Dragon Ball Z universe. The game features five game modes, including a Story Mode and a Tournament Mode, 23 playable characters - each with 60 different combo moves - and 29 arenas.

"Never before has there been a Dragon Ball Z game that is as true to the property as Dragon Ball Z: Budokai," said Paul Rinde, senior vice president of Infogrames. "The effort and attention to detail will be a huge payoff for fans as Dragon Ball Z: Budokai truly recreates the epic storyline of the Dragon Ball Z series in the interactive realm."
