Wednesday, May 29, 2002 - Square has announced that there will be no fees in Japan to play Final Fantasy XI, their new massive multiplayer online game, until the month of July. This announcement arrives after many technical problems caused by the enormous number of users connected to the servers.
From July, the monthly fee to play Final Fantasy XI will be 1280 Yen, while players willing to buy a new extra character will have to pay 100 Yen.
