Notice: Ps2Fantasy.com has been undergoing a major redesign for a long time. Ps2Fantasy.com will soon become PsFantasy.com, a professional network of websites covering all PlayStation platforms. We will offer more updates than ever, in-depth content, and a series of services to our community. During this process, functionality of this website and frequency of updates are very limited.
"Metal Gear Solid 2 is an enormously complex title--not only because of the gameplay, but also regarding all the many twists and surprises in the story. [...] Due to the adaptations for the many European countries, the release has to be a bit later than in the US (who, to its advantage, only has to deal with one language). This isn't anything extraordinary, though, but rather normal for the movie and games industry." said Wolfgang Ebert, PR Manager at Konami Europe "Besides, with Silent Hill 2 on November 23 and Pro Evolution Soccer being released on time before Christmas as well, we'll have two extraordinary titles in stores for the Christmas season. Since we didn't even give a specific release date for MGS2 until now, you cannot even call it a delay."
It's also important to remember that European TV standards are different from the ones used in Japan and U.S. That's why most of the titles developed in Japan and in U.S. have a later release date than other territories.
