If you have ever seen a 360° image in QuickTime, you know exactly what you should expect from the graphics of Myst III, where you have to look at the pre-rendered backgrounds in first person with a simple navigational system.
While the versions of Myst and Riven released for PsOne couldn't offer the same sharp image of the PC version, the Playstation 2 has absolutely no problem in showing on your TV the high-definition scenarios of the game.
The pre-rendered backgrounds are truly beautiful. The artists behind the game created very different architectures and styles for each of the 5 worlds, giving great care to the choice of colors and to the creation of the small details.
While Myst III: Exile is very close to be just a slightly interactive slideshow, it still offers a collection of artistic imaginative visuals, and the Playstation 2 version is an excellent port of the original PC game.
