E3 2006: PlayStation 3 shipping in November 2006

Monday, May 8, 2006 - At the Sony pre-E3 2006 conference, Kaz Hirai, president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment, confirmed that the PlayStation 3 will be launched worldwide in November 2006. The unit will be available in all countries in clear black color.
All PlayStation 3 units will ship with a HDD, and the console will support High Definition and standard resolution as well.
