President of KCEJ announces a new Metal Gear Solid is already among the company's future projects.
Monday, November 15, 2004 - During Konami's recent midterm earning press conference, Motoyuki Yoshioka, president of Konamy Computer Entertainment Japan, unveiled that there are already plans for a fourth game in the Metal Gear Solid franchise. As Kojima previously hinted, Yoshioka-san confirmed that the series could live beyond this fourth installment, probably with a new series.
"We already have ideas in our mind on what the fourth release [of Metal Gear Solid] will be like," Yoshioka said. "We believe that we can continue to develop [more] titles in the series. We hope that you will support us [in this decision]."
