Notice: Ps2Fantasy.com has been undergoing a major redesign for a long time. Ps2Fantasy.com will soon become PsFantasy.com, a professional network of websites covering all PlayStation platforms. We will offer more updates than ever, in-depth content, and a series of services to our community. During this process, functionality of this website and frequency of updates are very limited.
"Prince of Persia The Sands of Time was the most critically acclaimed game of 2003," said Yves Guillemot, President and CEO of Ubisoft, "With Prince of Persia 2, we intend to build on that masterpiece that will take Prince of Persia one step further to take over the action-combat genre. We will offer you an even higher level of excellence that should once more convince the critics and the public."
The game will feature a brand new free-form fighting system that should let each player find his or her own unique fighting style. The Prince will be able to use many different weapons, which when used in combination can create special unique attacks. Like last year's game, manipulation of the environment and the possibility to change the time flow will be key elements of the gameplay. It's still unclear how the whole "create your own fighting style" thing will work, but we hope to have more details for you soon.
