SCEE approves Engine's first PSP title
Engine Software developing futuristic street racing game for Sony's PSP.

- Engine Software, developer based in the Netherlands and specialized in development of titles for the handheld market, today announced the development of PSP Racing (working title), its first title for Sony's PlayStation Portable. The game is scheduled for launch in first quarter of 2005, so we suppose it could be one of the console's launch titles in North America and Europe.

PSP Racing is set in a sci-fi dark industrial environment and aims at offering a fast, dynamic, racing experience. The game will offer a great variety of gameplay features, extra character and game modes to assure players a good replay value. PSP Racing will also take advantage of the console's unique features, including network and connectivity options.

Ruud van de Moosdijk, Engine Software's Head of Development: "We acquired an official license from Sony and we are proud to present PSP Racing as a launch title. We feel the PlayStation Portable will enrich the games industry, and we have high expectations for this new device. The PSP offers so many features that it is best described as a portable entertainment system, rather than only a gaming handheld."

Engine Software will be at E3 2004, at the Playlogic booth 2340, West Hall. A life-size vehicle from the game, in which visitors can take a seat, will be exhibited at the booth. You can visit Engine Software's official website for more information.
