Call Of Cthulu headed to Playstation 2
A game based on H.P. Lovecraft’s novels has been announced, but you’ll have to wait a long time to get your hands on it.
Thursday, November 21, 2002 - Headfirst Productions today announced that it’s working on a Call Of Cthulu game for the Playstation 2 based on H.P. Lovecraft’s horror novels. The game, entitled Call Of Cthulu: Tainted Legacy, is currently scheduled for a Q4 2004 release.
Xbox and Pc player will get a Call Of Cthulu game, entitled Call Of Cthulu: Dark Corners Of The Earth, in the fourth quarter of 2003.
This is not the first time that games based on Lovecraft’s works are developed. The game that started the survival horror genre, Alone In The Dark, was heavily based on Lovecraft’s novels and suggestions. We sincerely hope that Headfirst will make good use of their license.
