E3 2002 - Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance announced
Konami today officially announced the release of Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance for Xbox, PC and Ps2.

- Konami of America today announced that Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance, the latest entry in the hit Metal Gear franchise will be released for the Xbox video game console from Microsoft in November 2002. Versions for the Sony PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system and PC are under development. Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance is being developed by the world-renowned Konami Computer Entertainment Japan development team, led by Hideo Kojima.

In the new title, players can expect to find the same deep storyline found in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, plus bonus modes, hundreds of never-before-seen VR missions and all-new adventures in which players assume the role of Solid Snake.

In 2001, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty captivated gamers around the globe. Having won numerous editorial "Best of" awards and having sold close to 2 million units in the US and over 5 million units worldwide, Metal Gear Solid 2 is widely considered a benchmark for action videogames.
