- Interplay announced today that Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance has gone gold and is ready for manufacturing.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is an action RPG that follows the D&D rule set, even if in a simplified version. The graphics are impressive: enormous dungeons, characters built with more than 2.000 polygons, wonderful light and environmental effects.

What's even more interesting is the possibility to play the game in a two player cooperative mode, something that's difficult to see in a RPG title, and that's usually badly implemented. The players will be also able to trade items with their memory cards.

The game should be released in U.S. next week on November 15.
